Graduated in 1977 from the Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague, PhD. in the field of Nuclear Engineering in 1989. Working for VUJE since 1977 in diverse research and management positions, responsible for a team and projects dedicated to safety assessment and safety related topics. His expertise range from thermohydraulic simulations, licensing documentation development up to development of safety concepts and implementation of safety related technical measures. He is also experienced in preparation and implementation of diverse international cooperation and research projects, including EU and IAEA.
