Nuclear Engineer
Graduated in 1977 from the Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague, PhD. in the field of Nuclear Engineering in 1989. Working in VUJE since 1977 in three-dimensional calculations of the reactor core, optimization of the reloads, reduction of neutron leakage and other neutronic topics, including preparation of efficient cross-sections for macrocodes. Recently, he focused on transmutation technologies, on the development of advanced fuel cycles and nuclear technologies, participating in several EU research projects, including GFR research (GoFastR, ALLIANCE, VINCO). He is a long-time active member of the Atomic Energy Research (AER) Scientific Council
